Wives of War

The mission of Wives of War is to support the spouses of combat veterans through the cycles of deployment and the transition into civilian life.
The founders of W.O.W. have been given the name “ Fairy God Mothers” because we really do think of them as our very own magic life savers. Always there to listen to us vent if we need to as well as offer advice when we ask. I look up to each of them. They have become my family…. Blood isn’t every thing however it does take a beating heart to provide the care they do for us. Thank you Ladies for all you have done for myself and my sisters.

Heidi Cope

I feel truly blessed to be a part of such a loving, compassionate group of women. I am so grateful to have been invited to attend a day retreat in 2008 during the darkest time of my life. WoW has forever changed me. I was welcomed with open arms and without judgment or appalled looks they listened to my story. I was given encouragement, a safe place to be honest and hope. They are there to listen and offer support whenever I need it. Wives of War is extremely special to me and my family.

Veronica Duran

"When I think about WoW I can't help but smile. They have been my "safe place" for years. I have never had THAT support, trust, friendship and genuine love. No one gets it like they do. A group like WOW doesn't exist anywhere else. They are one of a kind. My kind.

The main house and cottage were specially positioned to have dramatic views of the beautiful Gird Valley.  The 1,000 foot deck sits above an extensive herb garden and a grove of 130+ fruit trees.  Our vegetable gardens and grape vines provide an abundance of produce.  We have added footpaths and
points of interest throughout the property to be explored.  Our goal is to have "destination spots" through out the property designed by each family member.  Mine is already done.  It is located under the giant purple Jacaranda and Olive tree canopies.  They form a sun sparkled cave in which to view the scenery reminiscent of the Tuscan countryside by day or enjoy a meal by the twinkling lights at night.
